As of next March, flights from London to the island will be coming from Heathrow rather than Gatwick. This announcement was made jointly between the Ministry of Transport and British Airways, with Transport Minister Neville Tyrrell saying quote “The flights will start late March 2021 at four times per week. We are delighted to continue our partnership with British Airways, an airline connecting Bermuda to London for more than 85 years.” BA’s Director of Network and Alliances Neil Chernoff said quote “This is the first time we have flown to Bermuda from London’s biggest airport for over three decades and we look forward to welcoming customers to experience our world-class facilities at Terminal 5.”

BPS Commissioner Stephen Corbishley, during a press conference yesterday morning, made it clear that all the necessary police resources have been delegated to the recent fatal shooting investigation to ensure that justice is done to honor the victim’s family.
