The 2025 Bermuda Idol Competition Was Yet Again a Great Success.
The Ruth Seaton James Centre for the performing arts was packed on Saturday March 15, 2025 with an enthusiastic audience in support of the 16 contestants during a most entertaining evening of local talent … the atmosphere was full of anticipation and excitement during the event and as each contestant graced the stage to encouraging applause before giving their best effort to impress the blue ribbon panel of judges.
Each contestant was warmly greeted by the blue ribbon panel of esteemed judges, including Gita Blakeney-Saltus, Jesse Seymour, Joann Ball-Burgess and Bootsie.
The judges gave excellent feedback after each performance while encouraging the contestants.
All 16 contestants sang their first song and the 5 singers with the highest scores in the preliminary round sang their second song to determine the winner, runner-up and 3rd places.
14-year old Warwick Academy Student “Serilina Fisher” was crowned Bermuda Idol 2025 and is the youngest winner of the competition to date. She received $5000 and and Bermuda Idol Trophy.
Runner-Up receiving $2500 was ”Mikhyla Ming”
And in 3rd Place was Tyler Ray Wilson who received $1250 and Trophy.
$500 was awarded Johnny Walker for Best Showmanship: together with the Lois Wilson Memorial Trophy.
Spokesperson and Executive producer “Gwen Blakeney” stated that providing the annual opportunity for Bermuda’s amazing talent to showcase their vocal ability and musical skills through the Bermuda Idol Competition allows family, friends and the public at large to enjoy and celebrate Bermuda’s home grown talent. Moreover Inter-Island Communications, Ltd are extremely grateful to dedicated sponsors for such generous support, which allows the company to produce such a wonderful community event that awards over $12,000 in cash and prizes to be won in addition to $300 for the Best Homemade Sign and various great door prizes donated by the event sponsors, including;
