- The age of persons hospitalized ranges between 68 and 89 years, and the average age is 78.

The BPS remains optimistic that Chavelle Dillon Burgess will be found safe and well, while ensuring that a nationwide investigation and search effort is maintained until the young mother is located by authorities. This from the press conference earlier this week held by the Bermuda Police Service updating the community on the progress and status of the ongoing efforts to find Ms. Dillon Burgess, who hasn’t been seen since around Easter.
Nurses are necessary, appreciated and supported. This from Health Minister Kim Wilson as part of a video published on the Government’s Youtube page honoring nurses around the world generally, in Bermuda particularly – especially considering the extraordinary burden nurses are carrying during this global pandemic.
The community has largely co-operated with the Phase One regulations, but the police are ready to push back against the minority who aren’t being compliant and most particularly against those who are involved in gun violence. This from National Security Minister Wayne Caines who shared quote, “We are monitoring various community chatter about the possibility of planned events to commemorate Bermuda Day. Again I urge the public to please be mindful of the guidelines in place. Any disruptions or breaches of the regulations could result in the Phase One period being extended. Sadly, as you are aware, last week our community was once again shaken by gun violence and anti-social behaviour. Against the backdrop of what our Country is facing, this type of activity is the absolute last thing that’s needed. The Commissioner of Police has advised that the BPS have increased their patrols in key locations to manage gang tensions. And I encourage anyone with any information on last week’s incident to please contact the Police and share what you know. The Royal Bermuda Regiment continue their community engagement to ensure the Phase One regulations are followed.”
