Inter-Island Communications News Brief - March 24, 2021

The most recent batch of test results has confirmed 10 new cases of COVID-19, keeping our total case count in the three figures category. Health Minister Kim Wilson provided this update during yesterday evening’s national pandemic briefing.

If your children are showing symptoms of coughing, sniffling, don’t assume it’s a cold – keep them home, away from school. This clear message, prompted by the emergence of positive cases of COVID-19 confirmed in school-age children, came from Health Minister Kim Wilson, during yesterday evening’s national pandemic briefing.

We are serious about the public health protocols, which is why the Cabinet has approved fixed penalties for those found to have violated them. This from Premier David Burt from yesterday’s national pandemic briefing.

Minister Rabain joined his Cabinet colleagues at the briefing, sharing that Easter break will start next Monday rather than Thursday and that senior schools will begin the transition to remote learning as of this morning.
