Fully immunized people are able to move around the island a bit more freely, but vigilance is still required from everyone to ensure we continue to remove community transmission of COVID-19 from Bermuda. This from Health Minister Kim Wilson during yesterday evening’s national pandemic briefing.
Premier David Burt also joined the briefing, presenting an explanation of the soon to be implemented Safe Key data program which is intended to simplify the sharing of individual’s covid test status in order to keep community activity and events safe from local transmission of COVID-19.
Bermuda Hospital Board (BHB) Chief of Staff Dr. Wesley Miller was also present, and made it clear that the risk of transmission presented by fully vaccinated people does exist but is vastly less significant than the risk posed by those that are unvaccinated.
